Charlotte Heatherley and Rick McMurray did an interview with us about their new album 'Meltdown' in 2004. We asked them why they chose to record it in the States:

We did an interview with Ash after the release of 'Free All Angels' in 2001. For a young band, they've got quite a bit of experience under their belts. We asked them about the lessons they've learned along the way, like how not to get ripped off like The Verve.

"Burt Bacharach wrote the song Candy so he gets 50 percent but that's better than 100 percent like the Verve, they didn't get a penny for 'Bittersweet Symphony'."
