We did an interview with Richard and Brian in 1999 after the release of their second album, "Filter". They don't like the red light district but love their home studio:

"Ween took their big record advance and bought houses and then they recorded "Pure Guava" on a four track. That's what we're talking about, getting rid of the studio and that dinosaur factory environment."
