We did an interview with Marilyn at the Fields of Rock Festival in June, 2003. He spoke to us about "The Golden Age of Grotesque".

"The artist in the late twenties in Berlin were persecuted a lot, like I've been in my career. I saw a common bond so I wanted to look back for inspiration and try to capture the spirit of that era in Europe and how people were living like there was no tomorrow and making dangerous art in that way".
