We did an interview with Battles on the Lowlands festival. In the first part of the interview they explain why they don't want to be called Math Rock, or as they call it the M-word.

In part two of the interview the guys tell us about concerned relatives and groupies and girlfriends.

Toazted arranged an exclusive interview with guitar player Will Sergeant from the band Echo and the Bunnymen. The band was a huge success back in the 80's but are still adored by loads of fans. We spoke to Will about what kept him moving all these years. Off course we also spoke about the new album "Siberia".

We did a great interview with the band Merucy Rev, who finally played a show after years in the Paradiso Amsterdam, Holland. This interview is with Jeff Mercel and was recorded in June 2005.

Singer and founder of The Blues Explosion told Toazted things about his new record called "Damage".

"We recorded more than 30 songs and picked the 13 best ones. It feels good to choose from lots of good songs!"

In May 2003 we caught up with Jon Spencer, who was taking a break from recording by doing only a few concerts in Europe. He shared with us his philosophy on the power of performing:

"A rock 'n roll concert is something of a ritual. It's almost a religious rite. I think everybody comes to a show because they want to change a little bit and move outside their normal selves."

We spoke to singer Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips in Holland, in 2003. The band just released their album "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots". Wayne explains everything about the album, touring and death. Recorded March 10th, 2003.

"We have been writing songs from 1998 till 2001 about death. Not death metal, but writing about dying."

Drummer, Nick Banks and keyboardist, Candida Doyle did an interview in 1998 about their latest album, 'This is Hardcore'. We asked them what it was like to work with Jarvis:

"In the early days he used to be more of a dictator than he is now. He used to be a nightmare to be in a group with but he's improved with age... Thank God."
