We spoke the Hives in the basement of Amsterdams’ the Paradiso. We ask them for their opinion on the critics who say it used to be too much of the same and now, with the new record, it’s too less? They talk about the new approach of recording and playing live. Also, they talk about their reputation in the US.

What is it that the Hives do different on this record. And how are they going to do this live? Did they need to reinvent their songs? They've been about for fifteen years and once again the comparison with the Roling Stones is made
