We talked to Jim White in his hotelroom in Amsterdam. He told us about his life before he became a professional musician, he was a professional surfer and lived in Amsterdam as a model. He told us that he wasn't very happy when he lived here in Amsterdam because he didn't fit in with the Dutch people or the American people who lived here. Eventually music helped him through that period.

In the second part of the interview Jim White talked about musicians like Tom Waits, The Beatles and Björk and how they inspired him, but doesn't want to be like them. He talks about his new album and says he doesn't think it's the best one he made, he thinks the previous one was better. And he tells about how he almost got in a fight with Ellen DeGeneres.

In the last part of the interview Jim White explains what 'Transnormal Skiperoo' means, those words don't really exist but represent some kind of a pleasant feeling. He tells us that sometimes it's very hard to be away from home a lot, because he misses his daughters then. And he explains why there is a song from 1984 on the album.
